Glenn Larson fishing on the Capitola reef kelp bed saw a school of white sea bass 34-36 inches. He didn’t try for them because he was afraid they’d get wrapped up in the kelp.
Update: Also, Anna’s nephew Jim hooked and released two 24 inch white sea bass using a white hair raiser off of privates. He also saw other anglers catching off the beach using kastmasters and krocodiles.

Allen caught this nice halibut and a couple of brown rock cod in his tricked out kayak off the Capitola reef. He got the halibut using a frozen anchovy on one of Ed’s halibut rigs.

Allen did a write up on his kayak trip at the NorCal Kayak Angler’s site. Check it out - he’s got more photos.
