Dan got this pair near the Capitola mile buoy using live anchovies. The larger one is 22 pounds. He also farmed a white sea bass using live bait in the same location. |

JT just called to let us know that the Santa Cruz harbor is crawling with bait now - anchovies and maybe some squid. Yesterday was a good day for halibut off the Santa Cruz wharf. Jeromy was out on fishing around Cowell’s looking for halibut - no luck.
Off the Capitola wharf today Larry lost a nice one (halibut), and Don got a better-than-legal one just a little while ago.
