Santa Cruz: Nice lings off the mile buoy

Roberto just brought his Santa Cruz catch over to Capitola to filet them out. He got two *nice* lings and a few rock fish off the mile buoy today using live anchovies.

Nice lings off Soquel point

Danny and Dewey got in some nice fishing off Soquel point today fishing live anchovies. They brought in three nice lings and two limits of rock cod. Nice fishing guys!

Capitola: Jojo has fished these waters for a million years

Well - that’s what he says anyway.

Jojo just brought in this nice 23 inch halibut he got off O’Neil’s using a live anchovy.

It may grow a few inches over the next few hours though.

Capitola: Legal ling off Soquel point

James landed this legal ling off Soquel point in 40 feet of water using swim bait.

Conditions today are a bit drizzly and slightly bumpy. The bait is a bit more sparse - it seems to have moved to New Brighton.

Bob was fly fishing the New Brighton area and hooked up a 5 pound striper using a squid pattern fly. After he landed the striper, he had a white sea bass follow his squid up to the boat (no bite).
