Capitola: Legal ling off Soquel point

James landed this legal ling off Soquel point in 40 feet of water using swim bait.
Conditions today are a bit drizzly and slightly bumpy. The bait is a bit more sparse – it seems to have moved to New Brighton. Bob was fly fishing the New Brighton area and hooked up a 5 pound striper using a squid pattern fly. After he landed the striper, he had a white sea bass follow his squid up to the boat (no bite). |
