Justin just brought in the only fish we’ve seen so far today in Capitola. He got this 37 incher off Sewers using live sardines. Josh and Mike saw a boat out of Santa Cruz bring one in in the same area but they didn’t have as good of luck themselves. Ed is still out fishing around the cement ship now - no word from him yet. |

Kurtis got some awesome footage of a pair of humpbacks - cow and calf - playing around off the Santa Cruz lighthouse last week Wednesday. Posting them now because 1) they’re really cool and 2) not much going on fishing wise….
On the radio today we heard of one large one coming up somewhere around Santa Cruz, and better-than-radio-fish from some of the crew out of Capitola that saw a few boats bringing halibut in. The swell has come up, so hence the slowdown. There may be more to say later today, so stay tuned.
