Conditions still look real good - there’s still a lot of bait in the marina and good signs out on the water. Not everyone got fish today, but most did. Some quality brown rock cod, 12 good sized halibut overall from the boats, several legal ling cod - I can’t wait. But - SHH.

Todd and Jeremy caught these two using live anchovies off Soquel point this afternoon. They lost three others and spent two hours jigging up bait. The big one was 17 pounds, the little one 14. |

Pete landed this 19 pounder again off Soquel point using live anchovies. It got a little too much sun - else nice fish! |
