Capitola: Getting boring, hunh?

Ed and Josh and Flatties
And again from Soquel point, Ed is victorious with this 17 pounder, and Josh got a 19 pounder. Both using live anchovies.

Ed also got a 12 pound ling cod and a limit of browns, a few blacks, and a canary (all released) in the same area in about 60 feet of water (ling was in 55 feet). Soquel point has been like a timex lately – keeps on ticking.

Today on the wharf, we just saw a legal halibut come up – no word on what the rest of the day was like wharf wise.

Still bait in the marina and plenty in the reciever for tomorrow. Pelicans are still diving, signs are still good. NWS has a SW swell in the forcast now and for the next several days – we are not seeing any of this, so it could be just their usual miserable accuracy as regards swells.

Capitola: And again

Joanne and Husband and Halibut
Soquel point seems to be the spot today – this one came up earlier than Mark’s – he stopped right behind Ed and got it 15 minutes into the drift. This 19 pounder came in on live anchovies.
