Capitola: Local boys do good
posted at 5:02 PM in Fishing Reports |
| Dan and Kurtis and Ed scored big today on white seabass. It turned out to be a nice day once the fog lifted and finally got to see the color around noon. They all got lucky using McKee rigs fishing 40 feet of water off the cement ship. The biggest one was 43 pounds - Kurtis got it. Ed’s was a healthy 33 pounds.
Ed said he saw a humpback whale feeding in 50 feet of water off the cement ship today as well. Still a lot of bait around - lots of shearwater action straight out of the marina today. We saw three short halibut off the wharf today - Joey (Ed Jr.) got them. |
