Santa Cruz: Spotty ghost action

posted at 9:15 AM in Fishing Reports |
Joshs seabass being held by customers
Josh caught this one, but he wanted to get back out fishing so some rental customers said they’d do the honors (thanks you guys). He spotted some small schools of seabass in 40 feet of water off the lighthouse and managed to land this one. He’s going back out for halibut now - seabass are a bit too spread out today.

Conditions however are pretty nice - high marine layer fog, pretty flat water, very light breeze. Sardines are still off the cement ship. We don’t have any bait right now in Capitola, but Bocci is plugged with anchovies in the harbor.
