Santa Cruz: Live bait not required

Ed and halibut
Here’s Ed with a 19 pound flattie. He spent 45 minutes jigging up sardines in 70-80 feet of water out past Adams reef, but as it turned out it only took frozen squid to hook this one up. He was fishing in 45 feet of water west of the wharf.

    What’s Live Dait?
And where can I get some?
By the way, we have Live Bait available again
at the harbor, after many empty sets. Large Sardines.
