Capitola: Browns here and there
| Mike was out with a couple of buddies today in a rental. This is the biggest of the browns they hooked up with – they got one limit total between three people. They were fishing a number of reefs using rock cod jigs and swim baits. Not the best catch in the world, but they had a good time which probably counts now. |

Capitola: Slow day but fishing ok
| Jeff caught this one off Soquel point working along the edge of the kelp bed. He got this keeper using channel island swim baits. He also got two lings – one legal and one undersized, and some browns. He let everything go but the flattie. |

Capitola: Dementia and the stenographer, chapter 1
| Ernie hooked up this flattie off the wharf in a late bite yesterday afternoon. He was flylining sardines off the wharf. There were a couple of other takedowns but no landings.
On the bait scene, 10-12 inch sardines were jiggable outside Capitola reef and out to to the mile reef. We got a dozen or so in 35-50 feet. |
