Capitola: I thought old man winter was sleeping??

Not much to report today save for the fact that weather on the coast today was decidedly weird. There was a blow for about an hour at 2:00am this morning. It was followed by a pretty significant southerly ground swell early this morning, followed by some pretty decent WSW winds. All this is due to an upper level trough that’s stalled out over us. There’s some sort of change in the works for tommorrow - whatever that ends up being is supposed to stick around for a few days.

For those who did get out fishing, the word for the day as far as we’re aware of was bait - LOTS of it. There was no problem jigging up sardines of pretty much any size, and it was pretty easy to fill up on mackerel as well.
