Santa Cruz: Kurtis is like a Timex watch

Keeps on tickin’!

Our commercial fleet had a pretty decent outing. This was day 54 of Kurtis’ “consecutive days of fishing” thing, and it turned out pretty good. He fished sardines on halibut rigs between the whistle buoy and Natural Bridges, and hooked up on these two flatties in the process. One is 19 pounds, the other 22. He did better than Josh, who had two big ones on that both managed to free themselves of the hooks. Dan and Pete brought in a 25 pounder and one other small one, and they released two thresher sharks.
