Santa Cruz: It is brighter around the lighthouse

Jim here took his boat up to above the lighthouse for this beauty - a 92 pound (dressed) thresher shark. Nice fish! He caught it using a live sardine on a halibut rig. He got three halibut as well, and Sheriff Larry got two in the same area.

Capitola: Sloooowwww

Well, folks, the halibut scene in Capitola is not so good right now. Here’s our flattie highliner - a legal halibut. Not much to say. If you aren’t into sardines and mackerel, this is not your scene.

However, if you *are*, it’s party time. Bait is everywhere. Like the blob. Except for wherever it is that Ed happens to throw the net. No bait there. Otherwise - awesome.
