Capitola: Soquel Point…..

R.J., Josh, and Angelica had some fun out by Soquel point today as well. They went out fishing with their dad early this morning and got into some small rock cod including this legal ling. They also mentioned that they lost some bigger fish and had a bunch of fun catching bait.

Ken with the space age kayak hooked up on a *big* seabass in the kelp bed, but it snapped off his 30 pound test braid in short order. Booo!

There is still a bunch of bait just on the edges of the marina - lots of sea lion action to go with it. So - plenty of fun for everyone.

Capitola: … is the place to be

Soquel Point was a pretty good place to be today - Frank here caught this 25 inch ling outside the kelp this morning using squid on a rock cod rig.

Darn Glenn hooked up on a 30 inch flattie in the same area around noon today. He was using the ususal halibut rig and live bait deal. Annnnd he came in with a half a dozen decent sized brown rock cod, again from the same area.
