Capitola: Stripers jumpin out of the water here

Mike was fishing with Roy Boy and reeled up this 11 pounder just now. This bite is definitely on at the moment. He caught it in the same area as Roy with the same bait. Very nice fish Mike!!

The striper rally continues full steam here - Dan and his clan reeled in this 8 pounder this afternoon on a live bait leader with a sardine. He was very anxious to get back to fishing, so we didn’t get much more of a story out of him. Obviously however he is pretty jazzed. And just now (BREAKING) it appears that he has what Sheriff Larry is calling a 20 pounder on the hook at this very moment.

Capitola: We need to put like a coin slot on him or something

Mike treked out to the new buoy early this morning and jigged up some dinner. He caught this 7.5 pounder using a live sardine on a halibut rig. He said they lost one other flattie and kept a couple of rock cod. Browns.

Capitola: Sheriff Larry Needs a Six Pack License

This is from this morning - Sheriff Larry took his brother Bill and son Eric out to his favorite striper stompin grounds and watched them scoop up a couple limits of stipers. None for Larry again cuz he was too busy bum rushing the beach with his boat.
