Capitola: If you wanna save some time, here is the summary: SARDINES

* WPG2 CANNOT LOCATE GALLERY2 ITEM ID 88959 * And, Ok, guess what – the story is pretty much the same here on the wharf. Sardines are absolutely wide open. You cannot drop a hook of any sort into the water without coming up with sardines (almost). Lots and lots of folks have been enjoying the weather and the bounty of sardines today – and happily enough we’ve seen very very few pelicans even fewer problems with them. So – kinda good news all around so long as you’re not all hung up on actually catching a real nice big fish. At least – that’s how it is now – again, it’s fishing so it could turn on a dime.

Capitola: Yoo Hooo – Darn Glenn???????

* WPG2 CANNOT LOCATE GALLERY2 ITEM ID 88956 * Sigh. Not a lot to talk about again today on the rentals. Here’s Sambo with the highliner catch of the day – a couple of really nice stripers – 6 and 12 pounders! He was fishing off New Brighton using live sardines on a flyline.

Otherwise, of the four remaining boats out, we only saw one sad lonely rock cod come in, along with lots and lots of sardines. Where is Darn Glenn when you need him?? [Editor's note: he is fixing somebody's pipes - literally - and really].

It *was* another beautiful day weather wise – the swell remains down as does the wind. It was sunny most of the day starting around 10:30 this morning. So right now if you want to get out there, you’re practically guaranteed to be able to fill up and sink your boat with sardines if you keep fishing. Whether you’ll catch anything else – well – that is why it’s called fishing.

Santa Cruz: Williams Halibut

* WPG2 CANNOT LOCATE GALLERY2 ITEM ID 88952 * William caught this 22 pound, 38 inch halibut out in front of Natural Bridges. He was using sardines. It was a great day for williams, along with the halibut he brought in rockcod.
