Santa Cruz: Monkster has best day yet

* WPG2 CANNOT LOCATE GALLERY2 ITEM ID 93162 * The Monkster ventured out over to south rock today and scored a total of 24 pounds of lings – each of these were 12 pounds. They bit on live sardines on halibut rigs. Phil has been getting fish here and there but this is definitely a red letter day for him this season. Nice catch Phil!

Myron the Mulleted Mariner went out today as well – the mullet did not help – bummer. We had been talking about maybe selling chunks of the lucky mullet off eBay but now that’s less certain.

You doubtless noticed that we were a bit quiet yesterday – it wasn’t because of a busted chip or Ed being all busy and stuff – it was because the fish are allll goonne. That *might* be a bit premature – we had no boats out and Ed got a late start. He did hook up on a couple of leopard sharks which he released. But nothing exciting so for now the story is they’re allll gone.
