Capitola: Skates and rays rule the day

* WPG2 CANNOT LOCATE GALLERY2 ITEM ID 93392 * Well – hrm – here’s the wharf highliner for today so far – Mike with a large shovelnose skate. Ed had a very very large bat ray on his line today as well, but he let it go as soon as he figured out what it was. He figures it was between 80 and 100 pounds – its wingspan was easily 6 feet.

Still lots of bait on the wharf – sardines – otherwise we’re once again hoping on a late striper bite. More when it happens.
