Capitola: Dude, check out the girth on that monster!!

We sorta kinda have anchovies, and you can sorta kinda even fit a hook into these. That’s maybe good. It is the only thing going on, that’s for sure.

Ok – here’s the verbose version:

When we last left our fishing grounds, we were seeing a sort of slowly dropping rate of fish caught. Then a low pressure system moved in and moved *everything* out. That was last Sunday. Since then we’ve had two boats out that got skunked, an empty-handed Ed after a 25 mile ghost hunt, and a net full of the achovies you see here. There have also been some sardines and mackerel moving in outside the marina and down toward the ship. Other than that, nothing – really. That’s it.

When something happens, we will be sure to let you know – in the mean time please learn knitting or something.

Oh. Well – it *is* fishing, so we should say: bear in mind that *someone* is going to be the someone who discovers the end of our little drought here – if you feel adventurous come on down.

Capitola: Meanwhile fifty miles out to sea…

* WPG2 CANNOT LOCATE GALLERY2 ITEM ID 94573 * We would be remiss if we did not mention this, though it has precious little to do with inshore fishing. Our own Myron went on his first tuna fishing trip with Dan and Pete and ended up catching five of his own. No hurling or anything. Congratulations Myron. Fly that mullet proudly!!
