Santa Cruz: Ed lays bet on blindfolded bullseye

* WPG2 CANNOT LOCATE GALLERY2 ITEM ID 96961 * Ryan and Chris took their boat up to Natural Bridges to see if they could find one of those big northern flatties Bayside has been talking about. No monsters, but they are happy with this legal one. They said this 26 incher put up a respectable bite after it munched on their live sardine.

Otherwise, it was a slow day for both rentals and fishing off of them. We saw a few rock cod, once again off Capitola reef. Out of seven boats out, three came back skunked. There’s still a decent dolphin show going on however, so at least there’s entertainment.

We know there are some scattered schools of white seabass somewhere in the 35 miles between Davenport and Monterey, so Ed is about to throw darts at a map to plan his fishing for tomorrow. Aside from some big flatties off of Davenport, that’s about all we’ve heard of lately.
