Capitola: Kurtis loses one tail, gains four

Josh and Kurtis and striped bass
Kurtis had some luck today after he managed to shake the radar echo that had been dogging him all morning, at which point things turned around. Josh and Kurtis here landed these four flylining live sardines near the beach towards the ship. The largest is around 16 pounds – beautiful fish you guys!

Capitola: Busy night

No pics, but after our last post yesterday five additional stripers were brought in.

Today so far there was quite a bit of bait near shore, but a small swell has started up and they have scattered a bit.
