Capitola: There are of course always exceptions

Eric here is in no way related to, a friend of, nor even proximally adjacent to Anna in any way, yet he managed to haul this seven pounder off of the New Brighton kelp bed into his kayak this afternoon. This is a good thing, as he actually represents the majority position of people on the planet in this respect.

Not many boats out today, so we are happy to have seen the few fish that we did. Aside from the halibut we’ve already mentioned, we saw a handful of rock cod between a rental and Eric’s kayak.

In the morning bait was as usual lurking around the outside edge of the marina. As you’ll see in the next post however, something new is afoot.
