Capitola: Girls always get the best fish

Lisa and rock fish
Lisa was fishing with friends in a rental today and managed to high-line the boat with these two – a brown and a grass rock fish. They were using shrimp fly jigs with sardine bits.

The first of these two bit around 8:15 this morning, the other was also a morning fish. The rest of the day saw just smaller rock fish ’til Sal hooked up on something that he fought for 30-40 minutes ’til it broke his 20 pound test!

You will doubtless note the gorgeous skies – we have very nice weather today though there’s still a bit of southerly swell.
