Capitola: Another Disneyland-of-the-mind post…

…wherein you use you imagination instead of our pictures!

Josh is taking the reins on the fishing report today as Ed is plumb tuckered and is getting some well needed rest:

The swell has completely subsided and winds stayed way down today. It was similar to yesterday in that the marine layer stayed around quite a long time, keeping winds close to zero and making for excellent fishing weather.

Rock cod and ling cod fishing off the reefs was pretty good for those who fished live bait. Halibut was very slow but it should be picking up over the next week or so as the flatties recover from the swell.

Wharf fishing has been slow – some perch here and there. Bait has been tricky as well – it was just outside the marina but difficult to jig as it was in scattered and not very dense balls today.
