Capitola: Anthony went to Joey school

Anthony and striper
Anthony came down this afternoon and just as soon as he tossed a live sardine out under a bobber this little legal schoolie took off with it! Earlier today two other stripers were caught – one was 11 pounds and one was just legal.

Luckily Ed brought in those now precious 24 pieces of bait – they were put to good use by Anthony here, Steve, and a few other people. The only other wharf action we’ve seen today took the form of some walleye perch.

Our swell is even flatter than it was yesterday. It is not completely gone but it is gone enough that halibut should start digging out of their bomb shelters. Weather looks like it’s going to continue the warming trend through the weekend, so it should be a great time to be on the water.
