Capitola: Tuesday is slacker day!

That, because while it is true that we did in fact take photos of people-with-fish-they-caught, we did not go that extra mile and actually remove them from the camera for posting. So it’s words today, and not many of them.

One of the Capitola rentals came in with a legal halibut that it caught fishing the west side of the wharf near the edge of the kelp using live sardines on a halibut rig. One of our private launches came in with a legal halibut as well.

The rest of the rentals that caught fish caught some rock fish – nothing to get too excited about (unless you like rock fish).

On the wharf today anglers were still getting picked on by the harbor seal that’s doing staifing runs on people’s bait.

Once again there was a lot of bait just at the edge of the marina today – easy to jig. Through the day it moved toward the middle of the marina but it has not yet reached the wharf. Stay safe, smart fish!
