Capitola: Someone please write us a title generator it is getting desperate
Here’s Cole with a fish colorful enough to garner awards simply for asthetic reasons. It’s a bit smaller than Mike’s, but we wouldn’t throw it back. Vermillion are tastay!
He and Jake went fishing off Adam’s reef early this morning using squid on rock cod jigs. They caught this just before the winds blew them in to more sheltered waters. Once there (off Capitola reef) they lost a nice lingcod right at the boat during the moment in time they were wishing they had a larger net. darn darn darn We had three boats out fishing today not including Myron (see below) – the third boat sadly played host to a skunk. All in all it was a slow day. Myron the Mariner hit the water early early – around 6:00am – caught a couple dozen sardines jigging just outside the marina. With these little gems he hunted around in probably a half dozen of his favorite spots to no avail. “Karma anyone????” – Stenographer 9/8/2010 Ed saw folks catching sardines off the wharf between 10 and 11 this morning – nobody is fishing now so we don’t have the situation at hand. |

Capitola: Ed is accusing the stenographer of having to reach too far for post titles. Opinions?
Weird weather day today – almost looked like we were gonna hear thunder at one point. It started calm and foggy, but then *WIND* (which started around 11 and built through the afternoon) with a nice bit of very dense clouds and some drizzle.
This did not stop Mike here, who was fishing off Soquel point just outside the kelp using shrimp on a surf leader setup. He caught this nice brown and a smaller black and yellow there in the morning. We are thinking that this is actually the highlining catch off the rentals today – congratulations Mike! |
