This 12lb flatty and 24″ ling were caught north of the lighthouse about a mile out! The halibut was the very 1st cast of the day. Thought I snagged the kelp, then when I thought I was loose it bolted back to the bottom! “fish on” Twas awesome. The ling (believe it or not, was caught on a “Sabiki rig”. the small one) and on light tackle. I was using the rig to try and catch some live bait. We fought for about 6-7 minutes. Guess who won!!!
