Capitola: Another Day, Another Post…

Capitola: .
Another ho-hum slow day, we haven’t seen much, but Taylor of Santa Cruz got this feisty little jack smelt! She was using anchovies on a surf leader set-up, close to the surf. We also had a few reports of small perch and sand sole. We’re open tomorrow, Easter Sunday, as long as the weather cooperates!

Capitola: Sand Sole on a slider and cut anchovies.

Capitola: .
Joey happy with his catch, there still hasn’t been a whole lot being caught pier or boat wise. Yesterday I saw some one catch a sole like this one on shrimp on a wharf set up. I was admiring
Spring break swim suits when an eight pound steel head came flying out of the water twice. And then saw Dolphin in the surf line yesterday. A few Grey whales have been this last week a Quarter to a mile out. One week before the Salmon Opener I will try to keep more posts coming.
