Al and his brother Jeff were fishing off surfers reef. Where they caught this 12 pound Ling and 6 pound Cabezon. They had one more Ling and a dozen mixed cod. They said the cod were spiting up Octopus, and that what they used them for bait for the big Ling. They saw a few Grey whales off the point and had one come up right under the boat, didn’t touch the boat but said they could have touch him if they reached out.

Peter and his dad Steve went out for a few hours on Kayaks. They brought in eight nice rock cod. fishing around the edge of Capitola reef. One of the guys fishing off the wharf Don, just told me that he released three short halibut in the surf line using anchovy under a bobber. P.S. there is a shortage of Anchovies were almost out. You might try to find them some where else be for you come. Try Bay side or Out door world.

Larry said he did not see many boat out on the water. They caught there limits trolling the east side of the hole. 170 on the wire.

Kurtis & Ashly Josh & Shawn were the only two boats that went for salmon today. Kurtis caught three Josh none. they were trolling east side off the hole they pick up there fish 130 on the wire.

There day didn’t start that way, they launch there own boat motor would not run. Luckily we someone canceled and they went out on one of ours. you don’t see Danny in the photo but he caught the halibut. Larry was the only to come in with salmon hopefully they over ran them and the fish have move in closer to us.
